A Love Story

The photo of us above was taken four years ago at our friend's wedding.

Matthew, and I initially met online in 1999. We both were running different websites at the time that related to our hobby of paranormal research, and studies.

At first we chatted solely about the topics that interested us, and over time we became good friends. Finally we met in person at a former insane asylum while on a ghost investigation, (I'm not kidding!) which is going to make a really fun story for the grandkids one day! And the rest as they say is history ...

Some people think you cannot meet nice, worthwhile people online. Matthew's and my story prove that they are wrong, and yes you can meet the love of your life through the internet.

More and more couples are meeting on the internet. I know a couple who chatted for weeks before discovering that they lived a block away and had no idea.

That's a beautiful picture of you two! I had to giggle at the insane asylum part. That will indeed be a story for grandchildren.

My daughter met the future father of her oldest child in a psychiatric hospital. They were both patients though and the result was not the same. :)

Meeting people online is becoming more of a "norm" nowadays. At one time was like "ew you met someone online". Now is quite different. I also met my husband online, over seven years ago. Six months after we met we were married. After almost 7 years together, we're still happily married.

Sue, thank you for the comment! Have you ever visited Europe? The photos on my recent post, in Bellinzona Switzerland, are just a little over an hour from our place. Here it is so strange, in a good way, how things are so "close" compared to N. America.
